Animation of the Day: Kirk Serrated Point from Fort Lee RACF

Today’s animation is a Kirk Serrated Point scanned in the Virtual Curation Laboratory by VCL intern Meg Healy on February 28, 2014.  This point is on loan from the Fort Lee Regional Archaeological Curation Facility (RACF). RACF Curator Amy Wood will use printed replicas of this point in public programs. Kirk Serrated Points date to the Early Archaic and possibly into the Middle Archaic periods, approximately 8100-7025 B.C.  Details on this point type can be found here.
