Today’s animation is a fragment of a decorative escutcheon recovered archaeologically at George Washington’s Ferry Farm. It likely would have adorned a piece of furniture such as a cabinet. We have also scanned another fragment of this escutcheon, which we will digitally mend and print as one piece.
