Animation of the Day: Fox Vertebra from Fort Lee RACF

by Bernard K. Means, Director of the Virtual Curation Laboratory (VCL)

Today’s animation is a vertebra from a fox that was scanned in the Virtual Curation Laboratory.  This vertebra is on loan from the Fort Lee Regional Archaeological Curation Facility (RACF) to aid in the development of a digital zooarchaeological type collection, and for replication to be used in research, outreach, and teaching. Note that the scanning software closed the vertebral foramen and it will need to be opened through digital editing.
