Today’s animation is a scapula from a deer that was scanned in the Virtual Curation Laboratory.  This vertebra is on loan from the Fort Lee Regional Archaeological Curation Facility (RACF) to aid in the development of a digital zooarchaeological type collection, and for replication to be used in research, outreach, and teaching. This vertebra was found on the surface and is not archaeological in nature.  It has been affected by its exposure to the elements.
